The anonymous winner known as "Little T" was on her way to a doctors appointment by bus when she decided to take a quick detour to Smith's Place on Harford Road where she purchased the fourth of nine $100,000 top prize mega-sized Mega 7s lottery tickets, confirms the Maryland Lottery.
Little T came to the Lottery headquarters with her daughter where they told the story of the remarkable day.
“I ran home and sang ‘We’re in the money, we’re in the money” over and over again!”, said Little T.
This isn't the first time Little T has made big winnings on Maryland Lottery tickets, as she has previously won $10,000 on a crossword scratch-off game and $1,000 on the retired 5 Card Cash game.
The retired Little T is planning to use some of her winnings to finally put a down payment on a house to call her own, and to purchase a car so she no longer has to use a bus to get from place to place.
The grandmother isn't the only one to get lucky with this win as the 2006 Harford Road retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $100,000 top-prize winning instant ticket.
